Seminarian Sidney O. Speaks, III, SSJ is the dynamic president of the National Black Catholic Seminarians Association. There are more than 100 Black seminarians and about as many African seminarians studying in the U.S.

R-Fischer before Joint'98.jpg (308932 bytes) Norman Fischer, Jr., a seminarian from Mundelein Seminary in Illinois lead the Joint Conference in a praise service. Norman ended his reflection by delivering a powerful soulful rendition of "I believe I can fly." The conference membership were completely taken up in ecstatic rapture under the voice of this most compelling evangelist. (Charlotte, North Carolina - July 1998)
