Background History

The National Black Clergy Caucus formed in 1968 and serves Black priests, religious brothers and deacons. It addresses the issues of institutional racism in the Catholic Church and the pastoral issues challenging the Catholic Church in the Black community. This year NBCCC celebrates thirty years of enriching the Church of the U.S. with its gifts of Blackness.
