Cross the Threshold of the 3rd Millennium by a Walk through the Ages

Day 1: May 14 - DEPARTURE USA / ROME: Fly Alitalia Airlines from either New York or Chicago. Connections arranged from other cities include Detroit, Atlanta, New Orleans and Los Angles at the lowest fares.

Day 2: May 15 - ROME / CAIRO: National groups meet in the Michaelangelo Airport in Rome to connect for our flight to Egypt. We tour the largest city on the continent of Africa, Cairo, With 16 million citizens. We have the afternoon at leisure. In the evening, we will have our orientation lecture that will span six (6) millennia of history.

Day 3: May 16 - We will visit the Sphinx and the Pyramids in the coolness of the morning, then after lunch we will tour the fabled National Museum in Cairo. In the Museum, we will see the history of African people in develop world civilization.

Day 4: May 17 - CAIRO S\ LUXOR: Optional tour of Luxor. Optional tour of Cairo. The visit to Luxor is a must-see; we will visit Luxor the world renown Valley of the Kings, the Tomb of King Tutankhamen and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.

Day 5: May 18 - A bus will take the group from Egypt to Israel. we will cross the Sinai Desert as the Chosen People in the Bible, and cross the Suez Canal first built by the Egyptian Pharaohs thousands of years ago.

Day 6: May 19 - CAIRO / BERSHEBEER: Tour of Israel beginning in the city of Abraham and his first altar, Bershebeer.

Day 7: May 20 - REGION OF GALILEE: We travel along the shores of the Dead Sea stopping at Qumran and Jericho. We have the opportunity to renew our Baptismal Vows in the Jordan River and then cruise the Sea of Galilee. We will visit in Tiberias, the city of Capernaum where Jesus preached his first sermon. Our Mass will be at on the Mt. of Beatitudes. We will go to Meggido and Armageddon, the site of the last battle mentioned in the Book of Revelation.

Day 8: May 21 - JERUSALEM: We have a full morning and afternoon of touring in and around Jerusalem today. The tour will begin at the "Temple Model" and include the "Wailing Wall (great Jewish shrine). and Dome of the Rock (the Muslims). We will have the Stations of the Cross on the Via Dolorosa. We will celebrate Mass at the Church of the Resurrection.

Day 9: May 22 - JERUSALEM / TEL AVIV / ROME: We will have Mass in the Church of All Nations in the morning. We take our flight to Rome. Rome at night can mean a dinner, or a night on the town.

Day 10: May 23 - ROME: We will attend Mass at St. Peter's Basilica in the Tombs of the Popes. Our tour this afternoon drives by the Pyramid of Cassius Cestius with a stop at the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Partenon, Trevi Fountain. We will have a Benediction service at the Holy Tomb of St. Gaspar del Bufalo. An optional evening tour is available.

Day 11: May 24 - ROME / USA: Return to New York or Chicago this afternoon with connections to your home cities.
